Benjamin “Buddy” Bottelo, Island born and raised, has had a lifelong interest in the arts. Buddy studied at Chouinard School of Arts in California, as well as the Honolulu Academy of Arts in programs which emphasized drawing and basic design.

After a professional career in graphic arts and design, Buddy has now retired from his “downtown career”, and takes great joy in creating art of the people and places he loves.

Buddy and his wife Nancy have lived on the Windward side of Oahu for the past 30 years. Nestled up against the Ko’olau Mountain range, the forest environment creates a tranquil setting to create his artwork of local Hawaiian people and places.
